Reality TV show Married at First Sight UK has been cancelled following rape allegations from cast members, it has been confirmed.
The BBC reported that Channel 4, who air the programme, had confirmed the show will not return to screens after the accusations came to light earlier this year.
This followed on from a BBC Panorama investigation which revealed rape allegations from two female cast members on the show.
Meanwhile, a third woman alleged a non-consensual sex act.
The men involved have denied all the allegations against them.
A Channel 4 review, split into two parts, looked into how Channel 4 handled the allegations and also into welfare protocols on the programme.
In a summary of findings and recommendations, the report found that welfare protocols of Channel 4 and CPL (show producer) had been compliant with Ofcom's broadcasting code and that there was no breach of the code in handling the issues raised.
However, the review also said that there were isolated incidents where the welfare framework was not fully implemented.
It added that Channel 4 and CPL could have undertaken a more structured longer-term review over multiple series and that there were certain areas where it considered that the contributor welfare framework could be further strengthened, and made recommendations in this regard.
