No prizes for guessing who Liam Gallagher could be talking about with this not so subtle Twitter dig

Pretty green...with envy?

Sibling rivalry lives on.

U2 brightened up many people’s Monday mornings with the news that they will be coming to Croke Park on July 22 as part of the Joshua Tree Tour 2017, celebrating the 30th anniversary of arguably the most celebrated album in the band’s history.

If news of Bono and company playing a summer night’s gig in GAA HQ wasn’t enough on its own, it was also confirmed that they will be supported by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, an extra treat for those who’ll be lucky enough to get their hands on tickets.

Most people would have been happy with the news, but somebody particularly close to Noel didn’t appear too impressed judging by a tweet sent shortly after all the details were confirmed on Monday morning.

Who could he possibly have been talking about?

When Liam and Noel were together back in their Oasis days, the band actually supported U2 on their Popmart tour in the mid-90s, an episode recounted in further detail on the U2 website.

The sentiments expressed in a photo included in one of the first replies to his tweet, meanwhile, suggests that he himself was once on very good terms with Bono, so maybe his tune has changed significantly since then.

We’re guessing Liam won’t be on the guest list for the Croke Park gig in July then.
