A record-breaking scramble for Glastonbury 2027 tickets left organisers stunned on Sunday, with the entire allocation gone inside 42 minutes of the queue opening.
Starting from 09:00 BST, thousands of fans joined the virtual queue with hopes for a place at Worthy Farm next June.
By 09:40, organisers confirmed there was nothing left.
Glastonbury ticket prices have climbed steeply for years, and this round set a new record at £408, including a £5 booking fee.
A first batch of coach-package tickets had already gone in under 30 minutes on Thursday, and Sunday's general sale emptied just as fast.
The cacophony of festival goers left plenty of other fans without a place.
Yet, organisers have announced that any cancelled or returned tickets would go on resale in spring 2027, for those many hopeful who missed out on the general sale.
The sale sold out in record time despite headliners for next year's edition having not yet been announced.
Organiser Emily Eavis said last month that the team was "very excited" and that things were "coming together really well."
Two-time festival-goer Zoe Scott reckons the money is well spent regardless of the price tag.
"You're getting to see thousands of acts, there's over 100 stages," she said.
"It's such a vibe at Glastonbury, everyone's so happy and free-spirited. You're just on a constant high from friends, music and the sun is usually shining."
One couple's return has personal stakes attached.
Nick and Helen Nugget, from Amersham, first met at a "very muddy" Glastonbury in 2007 and will mark their 20th wedding anniversary at next year's festival with the same group of friends.
The pair last attended in 2011, securing tickets again in 2019 despite not being able to attend because they were adopting their daughter at the time.
Nick last told the BBC they were "absolutely delighted" to be heading back.
