Despite the strong appeal of life in your hometown, there’s a lot more to the world. The YouthfulCities Global Index have studied 55 major cities in order to determine which city is the best place for people aged between 15-29 to live in.

The selection criterion included; the level of people in the city of a similar age, education, employment, nightlife, culture, wage and others.

If you happen to live in Sydney, or you’ve friends currently there, then good news because life ‘down under’ comes out on top in this study.

The top 10 is dominated by American cities, with Detroit, San Francisco, Boston and Los Angeles all featuring.

But it’s a poor showing from Europe, which has just two representatives.Cities
