Girlfriend, 23, accused of murdering young dad pictured as family pay tribute

The girlfriend who allegedly murdered a young dad by stabbing him in the chest has been formally charged with his murder.

Bradley Lewis, 22, was rushed to the hospital on March 25 after sustaining injuries at his house in Kinswood, Gloucester. Lewis was declared dead the following day, having succumbed to a single stab wound to his chest.

Now, 23-year-old Abigail White has been charged with his murder. Appearing before Bristol Magistrates’ Court on March 28, White only spoke to confirm her name, date of birth and address.

Tributes to Lewis have poured in, with his family writing: “Our wonderful much-loved son Bradley, taken from us too early.”

“We lost a fantastic, beautiful person without saying goodbye,” a friend said. “I hope he knows just how much and how many people loved him.”

Describing him as a “lush boy”, another wrote: “So sad you were taken from this earth.”

Hanham Athletic Football Club (HAFC), where Lewis played as a reserve, also wrote: “HAFC are deeply saddened to advise that one of our reserve team players, Brad Lewis, passed away.

“We remembered Brad with a minutes’ silence before our fixture yesterday.

“Our deepest condolences to all of Brad’s family and friends.”

In a publicly released statement, Avon and Somerset Police wrote: “A 23-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a man died in hospital following an incident at a house in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, on Friday night.

“Abigail White, of Chipperfield Drive, Kingswood, has been remanded in custody to appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (March 28).

“She has been charged with the murder of 22-year-old Bradley Lewis. His family have been updated on this development in our investigation.”

White has been remanded in custody until a hearing on March 30 at Bristol Crown Court.
