The video game giant has announced that it is discontinuing the Nintendo 3DS. It is truly the end of an era. The Nintendo 3DS, and its predecessor the standard DS dominated handheld gaming for a decade. Ok, there isn't really much point in Nintendo having a separate handheld console now that the Switch is portable, but the DS line of machines almost felt like something that would actually die.
