They have been the perfect after-dinner treat for years.
Nestle has broken the heart of many chocolate lovers with the news that they are discontinuing the much-loved After Eight Straws.
The confectionary giants have officially ceased production of the mint chocolate treat in straw form, 14 years after the product was first introduced.

The discontinuation of the chocolate bars was confirmed when a shopper enquired about them on X after not coming across them in several stores
They asked: “Nestle, I’ve been touring our local supermarkets for After Eight Straws, and I can’t find them…
“Are they discontinued?”
To which Nestle replied: “Unfortunately, After Eight Straws have already been discontinued.”
Many other lovers of the snack took to social media to grieve the stick-shaped delights.
One person described them as “the best”, while another said: “After Eight straws are up in the clouds.”
Another X user called them “elite”.
After Eight Straws were first introduced in 2010, combining dark chocolate straws with a smooth mint filling.
Before they were discontinued, shoppers could purchase the 110g tubs for just £2 at Asda and other major supermarkets.
Shoppers can still get their hands on the traditional After Eight chocolate squares for £2.50 at most stores.

Earlier this month, fans began calling for the return of the beloved Galaxy Truffle sweet to the festive Celebrations tub.
Galaxy Truffles were a staple of Celebrations boxes until 2011, when they were replaced by the humble and much less glamorous Twix.
Chocolate lovers started an online petition in 2018, demanding Mars reverse the decision to remove the Galaxy Truffles.
The petition was started by Sean Duggan and had hoped to get the support of 10,000 people in total.
As of 2024, the campaign has only garnered just over 1,700 signatures.
