They taste just like Subway's iconic sauces
As the capital readies itself for the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April, Subway has announced it is set to make a surprising debut - in the world of race fuel!
Sub-Gels, a limited-edition range of nutrient-packed energy gels that taste just like Subway’s iconic sauces, have been designed with endurance athletes in mind, offering compact, easy to consume boosts made for runners who don’t want to leave flavour at the starting line.
Delivering the quick-release carbohydrates that runners rely on, Subway® has created a new way for runners to fuel up for long runs without sacrificing the flavours that they love.
Unlike traditional fruit-flavoured gels, “Sub-Gels” bring a savoury twist to race nutrition, and are available in three unique flavours all inspired by Subway’s fan favourite sauces:
Each pouch delivers a flavour-fuelled energy hit, formulated to provide quick energy when runners need it most – from the first stretch to the final sprint.
A Subway spokesperson said, “The rise of running culture within the fitness category has been rapid, and we’re always looking to meet our guests where they are. We wanted to introduce a fresh new way to fuel our customers as a part of a balanced active lifestyle.”
