The build-up to Avengers 4 continues
Everyone in the world is waiting for the fourth Avengers film, which will finally conclude the shocking cliffhanger from Infinity War.But before that, we have the Brie Larson-starring Captain Marvel.
We’ve already gotten one trailer for the film, but the second promo just dropped, and its given us a lot more info on the movie.
In particular, we get a better look at Carol Danvers’ – aka Captain Marvel’s – backstory. It appears she was somehow transported to the Kree home world, where she became a fearsome warrior. But she also has mysterious memories of being on Earth, which may or may not be true – it looks like uncovering those will be a big part of the movie.
The film’s official synopsis reads:
“The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
Along with Larson, Captain Marvel stars Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou and Lee Pace.
It is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who made the rather great Ryan Gosling movie Half Nelson.
Captain Marvel will arrive in cinemas on March 8th, 2019.
