Protestors camped out in tents/Via SWNS[/caption]
The shop has long since been a subject of controversy, as both locals and police raised concerns over traffic, damage to soil, and potential further extensions.
Clarkson and his partner Lisa Hogan arrived at the farm on Tuesday (September 28) to talk with the protestors who had been camping outside in tents. Graffiti across the shop read: "Save our Turf, Save the Earth".

The former Top Gear star then watched as compost was poured all over his sparklingly clean Range Rover. Another protestor stood on top of the digger, chanting and pumping his fist in the air.
Police officers at the scene did not respond immediately as Clarkson, his partner and fellow protestors all stood and watched the car be submerged in compost.

Clarkson did walk over at one point, bending down to pick up a piece of the compost. Moments later he threw it back on the pile.
Amid the chaos a naked protestor was dancing around with a police officer chasing after him.
"It was like something out of a Monty Python movie, I couldn't believe what I was seeing," an eyewitness told the Daily Mail.
"First there was a naked man being chased by a policeman and then this digger appears out of nowhere and dumps all this stuff all over the car. What really shocked me was that Clarkson didn't say a word, which is not like him at all."
They witness continued: "Normally he has an opinion on everything, but he just stood there silent as all this stuff landed on his car."
The witness concludes by saying they felt sorry for Clarkson, and confused as to why the police did nothing. Clarkson is yet to respond. Related links:
