You can now spend Valentine’s Day with Tom Hardy…sort of

Paul Moore

This will be very popular with Tom Hardy fans.

Given the fact that Tom Hardy has a fondness for wearing masks in his films, plenty of his dialogue is somewhat inaudible. Think about it. His face was covered in The Dark Knight Rises, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Dunkirk. Despite the fact his face is hidden, the actor still consistently delivers strong performances. That’s a sign of his talent.

In fact, Christopher Nolan said that very few actors can be as emotive in the way that Hardy can. “I was pretty thrilled with what he did in The Dark Knight Rises with two eyes and couple of eyebrows and a bit of forehead. So I thought, ‘Let’s see what he can do with no forehead, no real eyebrows, maybe one eye. Of course, Tom, being Tom, what he does with single eye acting is far beyond what anyone else can do with their whole body, that is just the unique talent of the man, he’s extraordinary.”

Aside from this, the characters that he plays usually have a unique way of speaking that’s not the easiest to decipher.

For example, Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders, John Fitzgerald in The Revenant and James Delaney all have strange twangs. Well, if you fancy spending time in Hardy’s ‘company’ and not hearing him talk, this waxwork statue of the beloved actor could do the trick.

The 40-year-old star of Bronson and Warrior is the latest celebrity addition at Madame Tussauds and it’s arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Hell, if you’re single and fancy a funny story to share with your mates, a Valentine’s Day trip to London could be in order.

Granted, we expect plenty of ladies (predominantly tourists) to want their photo taken next to Hardy but given the public’s love for the actor, a few fellas might fancy having their snap taken too.

Tom Hardy. The very definition of ‘women want him and men want to be him.’

Fancy arguing that statement? Well, he launched fundraising campaigns for the victims of the Manchester bombing and the tragedy at Grenfell. Aside from this, he also chased down a moped thief, caught him and shouted: “I caught the c**t!

In recent weeks, he helped some abandoned puppies find a new home and also found some time to do his day job – the trailer for Venom was recently released.

Some man. Well, this could be the closest that anyone gets to meeting him.
