‘I really hope he embraces the idea and helps us create a new doll which does him justice’
A leading adult toy company has revealed the celebrities which customers most frequently request their sex dolls to look like.
Inferno Dolls says it gets inundated with multiple requests for celeb lookalike dolls – but many punters are banned from having them for “taste and decency” reasons.
However, the firm has caved to public demand for one particular request and will now be manufacturing a £8,000 doll based on actor Tom Hardy.
The top six requests worldwide from both men and women are – Princess Diana, Megan Markle, Kate Middleton, Tom Hardy and Tupac.
Inferno Dolls CEO Ben Stroud describes himself as a Royalist and said he’d never sell dolls based on the Duchess of Sussex, Lady Di or the Princess of Wales.
He said the company get requests for Princess Di regularly, especially after the latest series of The Crown, “but we would never open ourselves up to accusations of cheapening her memory”.
Stroud explained: “If we were just motivated by money we would create Megan Markle and Kate Middleton dolls and see through sales who is the most popular but at heart I am a royalist.
“We are a global company so each country has their own version of Diana but we don’t want to offend anyone.”
Stroud said the company gets “so many requests” for a Hardy doll, from men and women, globally.
“I presumed he would be popular in the UK but Americans and Asians love him too,” he said, adding that he hopes the A-lister “embraces the idea and helps us create a new doll which does him justice”.
Stroud said the company gets many unique requests because customers know “we can provide bespoke unique dolls it would not surprise me if we get an order for an overweight Tom Hardy, we could call him Tom Lardy.”
The company uses breakthroughs in silicone engineering to create life-size sex dolls with optional characteristics.
They also sell replicas of porn stars and influencers with accompanying virtual reality videos.
Stroud added: “The porn stars and influencers who signed up for their own dolls have had amazing feedback from their fans.”
However, a Tom Hardy would be the first mainstream celebrity doll despite customers willing to pay £10,000 for a lookalike doll of their favourite celebrity.
The English actor has become a heart-throb in the last ten years after starring in Peaky Blinders and playing iconic roles including The Kray Twins, Al Capone, prisoner Charles Bronson and Marvel’s Venom.
Off-screen Hardy has proved he’s just as tough, winning jju-jitsu tournaments and beating addiction.
Porn Star Thor Johnson whose doll is one of the best-selling Inferno products said: “I loved having a sex doll based on me.
“I loved the whole process of helping create it and I am sure Tom Hardy will do to.”
Inferno describes itself as the world’s biggest manufacturer of lifelike TPE and silicone dolls.
Dolls have physical attributes including hair, muscles, birthmarks, facial likeness and replica genitalia. They cost £8,000 to buy or £600 to rent for three days.
