Jim Ross showed off his injuries on Twitter

Legendary WWE commentator Jim Ross posted an image of a recent injury to face on social media on Saturday, telling his followers that he had “taken a bad bump” and “the concrete went over”.

Ross, 66, was the voice of the wrestling company during the Attitude Era and continues to make sporadic appearances with the company, as well as commentating for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Fox Sports.

Despite his injuries, he said he would still be attending an Oklahoma University’s football game.

The WWE legend grew up as an Oklahoma Sooners fan and currently resides in Norman, his team beat the Kansas Jayhawks 55-40.

Although he’s yet to reveal any further how his injury came about, fans were quick to wish Ross well.

“Hope you’re ok, Jim! Hang in there,” one fan tweeted.

While another added:  “Oh Man.. take care Mr Ross and heal up soon. We need you around for a long long time.”

But as well as tweeting well wishes, a number of wrestling-heads took the opportunity to send some of his most famous commentary lines back to him.
