What started off so promisingly let us down in the end.
With Sam Raimi as producer and Sam Rockwell joining Jared Harris in the cast, we've been looking forward to the new Poltergeist reboot since way back in the fog of (shudder) 2014.
This first teaser trailer has plenty of creepy moments mixed with frantic clips of people being thrown around like ragdolls by ghouls unseen. So far, so take-us-to-the-cinema.
Yep, it looked like perfect Friday night entertainment until someone went and spoiled it all by saying something stupid like "PG13".
Seems more Scary Movie than Babadook. Oh well.
