US police officer claims he helped rapper Tupac fake his own death

Dead wrong?

Conspiracy theories surrounding the death of legendary rapper Tupac aren’t a new notion.

Since he was shot dead in a drive-by on September 13th, 1996, there have been many theories that the California rapper is still alive.

There’s the ‘Tupac’s hiding in Cuba’ line, the ‘FBI have ‘Pac in witness protection’ and even the ‘he was abducted by aliens’ effort (there’s always one).

But now one retired US policeman has claimed he helped the rapper fake his own death.

Former cop David Myers, who is reported to be in a critical condition in hospital, claims he was paid $1.5million to help the star.

According to the Mirror, Myers has said: “The world needs to know what I did. I’m ashamed that I let a price be put on my word and I cannot die without letting the world know.

The ex-cop claims Suge Knight, who is set to be tried for murder, played a big role in faking the star’s death.

Claims are that around 30 people – including police, medics and various witnesses – were in on it, and even $50,000 was paid for a body double to be taken to the morgue.

Although the ‘news’ comes at a time when work is just starting on a new biopic into Tupac’s life.
