Vicky Myers wants Corrie to dig into Lisa’s secret past

Lisa’s unknown past has left Vicky Myers wanting more answers

The actor, who plays Lisa Connor-Swain, has suggested that the soap should finally start answering some of the questions surrounding her character’s life before Weatherfield. 

Myers admitted she would love to see Lisa’s family history explored, particularly because so little is known about her.

“She’s a bit of an enigma,” Myers told Inside Soap. “I love the fact that no one knows her birthday!”

Her comments came after she picked up the Best Actress prize at this year’s Inside Soap Awards, marking her second consecutive victory in the category. The ceremony was entirely decided by fans.

Carla could play a bigger role in Lisa’s next storyline

It has been a dramatic period for Lisa, who spent much of the past year dealing with huge changes in her personal life. 

She learned that her late wife Becky was actually still alive, before her daughter Betsy suffered a stroke.

Myers also has her eye on Lisa’s relationships and would like to see more ordinary family moments on screen. 

She specifically mentioned Carla, with Ali King approaching her 20th year on the soap.

“For Lisa, it would be great to have domestic scenes because we love those,” she said.

Betsy remains at the centre of the current storyline, as she works towards getting her life back on track following her stroke.
