Jeremey Clarkson’s company has ‘finalised’ its liquidation

The Top Gear star company’s liquidation is said to have ‘finalised’

W Chump and Sons, an acronym for Wilman, Clarkson, Hammond, und (german word for ‘and’) May, held roughly £24 million in assets.

The full amount was set to be distributed in full, with the four owners gaining a big chunk of the some by the time it got finalised. 

Reports from earlier this month said the liquidation settlements were coming to an end, where final cash distribution came to a bit above £4,000, at a rate of 4p a £.

All assets are said to have been distributed between the four shareholders as they will be expected to pay £10,000 in liquidator’s fee. 

Clarkson is said to further his other ventures, notably Diddly Squat Farm and its farm shop, as well as The Farmer’s Dog, Jeremy’s own proper British pub right outside Burford.

All in all, the trio and show producer Wilman are looking at a net £24 million, a nice little sum to pocket after years of television shenanigans.

After coming to the decision to part ways and liquidate the company as a final hurrah following the end of the show, Clarkson had some words to share.

"After 36 years of talking about cars on television, I’m packing it in," said the 66 year-old

Clarkson blames time, saying he's "too old and fat to get into the cars that I like and not interested in driving those I don’t."

However, the sun shines bright on Clarkson, as he stated earlier this summer that he was "the world's luckiest man" after surviving a cancer scare.

The Amazon shows don't stop for him either, as Clarkson Farms took the Reality Docuseries home at the National Television Awards 2026 a little over two weeks ago.
