Players on The Chase won a combined total of £100,000 today - the highest amount ever won on a daytime TV show. Diane, Luca, Tim and Gayna were each handed £25,000 after beating Chaser Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty and taking 21 steps on the board. Following her defeat, Anne said: "I hope The Ritz does do takeaways because you deserve it – you all do. Very, very well played. "I didn’t expect to win that one to be honest. Very good indeed."
