Scott, who stood at 6ft 10, appeared in the 2001 comedy heist movie, as well as it's sequels Ocean's Twelve and Ocean's Thirteen. He also appeared in the 2004 Starsky and Hutch remake starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson and 2002's The Scorpion King, which starred Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Michael Clarke.
His former co-star George Clooney paid an emotional tribute to Schwartz, describing him as a "gentle soul".
"I'm sorry to hear that Scott is gone. We did three films together and I've never been so gently punched. He was a gentle soul and he will be dearly missed," he said.
Schwartz began as a pro wrestler under the names of 'The Israeli Commando' and 'Giant David' before making the move to Hollywood in pursuit of a career as a stuntman and actor.
His wife Misty described her husband as someone who "truly loved life and everyone he met along the way", adding: "Most people associate Scott with the movies, but those who know him personally associated him with being a jolly person, so full of life, a strong loving person, foodie and travel aficionado.
