Maisie Williams knows how Game of Thrones is going to end

“I know the end of Game of Thrones"

But she’s not telling anyone… apart from her Mum.

Game of Thrones fans are going to have to wait a long time  to find out how one of the biggest TV series in history is going to end, but over a year before the final season airs, the cast already know how it’s going to go down.

Maisie Williams, who plays the diminutive but deadly Arya Stark, made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel this week and told the host that she’s already read the script for the show’s final episodes.

Quizzed by Kimmel about the final season, which is currently in production, Williams said: “I know the end of Game of Thrones.”

Obviously, she didn’t give the ending away in front of an audience of millions, but she did tell Kimmel that she had to return home from the US a day earlier than scheduled due to the “endless amounts” of filming required.

Williams also refused to reveal the number of episodes in the final season, although she did cast doubt on suggestions from HBO programming president Casey Bloys that multiple endings would be filmed for the finale to avoid the real one being leaked.

“I heard this and I immediately thought ‘I don’t think we’ve got the budget to shoot lots of different endings’” Williams said, before aiming a not-so-subtle dig at the current occupant of the White House.

“As we know, sometimes presidents don’t always tell the truth.”

On the finale, while she didn’t reveal anything and said that the only person with whom she’s shared any details is her mother, Williams did say: “It’s just surreal to be honest, being with this show for so long and then it also having the following that it does.

“Everyone’s waiting for this moment and then you read it and it’s incredible.”
