Internet pays its respects to Machine Gun Kelly’s rapping career after Eminem’s ‘Killshot’

JOE

RIP

Social media users have paid their respects to Machine Gun Kelly’s career as a Hip-Hop artist after his brutal takedown by Eminem on his new track “Killshot”.

Their feud began back in 2012 when MGK claimed that Em’s daughter, Hailie Jade, was “hot as fuck”, but has heated up in recent weeks with the release of the 45-year-old rapper’s most recent album Kamikaze.

“Killshot” was a response to Kelly’s “Rap Devil,” which itself was a response to Eminem’s “Not Alike”. There are some pretty brutal bars in it, including a retort to MGK’s claim that Eminem is past it.

“’Slim you’re old’

“Ow, Kelly, ooh, but I’m 45 and I’m still outselling you

“By 29 I had three albums that had blew…

“I’d rather be 80-year-old me than 20-year-old you.”

And Eminem also references the previous tweet MGK made about his daughter.

“Here’s that autograph for your daughter, I wrote it on a Starter cap

“Stan, son, listen, man, dad isn’t mad/ But how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun and have a man bun?”

In the aftermath of the diss track being released, MGK pointed out it had taken two weeks for Eminem to release the track, but users on social media don’t seem to care.

In fact, they have responded by paying their respects to Kelly following the song’s release, claiming his career has effectively been killed.
