Not a great start for Boy George

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans were unhappy with Boy George when criticised Charlene White for being 'controlling'. During Tuesday night's episode, the singer, 61, claimed the news presenter, 42, was being overly bossy when it came to cooking in camp, but he has since come under fire for his comments. After the scene aired, viewers took to social media to discuss the tension as fans pleaded with the Karma Chameleon hitmaker to 'leave her alone' as the camp started preparing a meal of kangaroo sausages and ladies' fingers. Loose Women star Charlene was helping delegate tasks to the celebs, with other campmates asking her how best to cut and cook the food. But it seems Boy George appeared irritated with Charlene taking charge. In the Bush Telegraph, George says: "It's so weird, that bag comes down and Charlene just turns into an entirely different person. "It's amazing, she issues orders and tells everyone what to do. I'm like, 'Wow'. You know, it's like, 'Who are you?' "Charlene she just issues orders. For me as an observer of my own feelings, it's mind blowing."
After the celebs have eaten and washed up, Scarlette Douglas walks into camp and says to George: "Didn't fancy helping BG?"
To which Boy George replies: "I just feel like Charlene's very controlling. She tells you what to do and it really rubs you up the wrong way.
"I'm struggling with that, but I'll get over it. It's fine, she's very sweet as well so it's a real contradiction.

Boy George then confronted Charlene the following morning, explaining: "It might be good to say to people, 'right you do this today'. Otherwise, I’m going to feel like I’m not doing anything.
"I want to win stars, that’s my main thing, I’m going to do everything I can to get stars. I want to contribute.
"You’re very strong. Listen, you’re such a beautiful contradiction because you’re like tough, and then you’ve got this beautiful side to you. But it’s challenging for me. I have to say it’s challenging for me." In the Bush Telegraph later, Charlene says: "We are the democracy of the jungle. There is no like leader, we haven’t told everybody what their roles are, we’ve just not done that, kind of fallen into roles."
But viewers at home weren't too happy with Boy George's comments, with one person writing: "When can we vote people out? George needs to disappear with his complaining self."
While another added: "Let me in that jungle i need a word with this boy george."
And a third said: "Boy George you need to leave Charlene ALONE."
Meanwhile a fourth tweeted: "Why is Boy George trying SO hard to have an issue with harmless Charlene??"
And a fifth said: "Leave Charlene alone Boy George don’t make me choose you for next trial." Boy George has already faced backlash before entering the jungle, when one of his victim's - a man who was chained to a wall by the singer - called out ITV's booking.
