What are the chances?
So Adam Sandler has a new comedy for Netflix called The Do-Over. His character in the movie is called Max Kessler, which also happens to be the name of an accountant from New York who looks exactly like…Adam Sandler.
As if the whole thing wasn’t meta enough, Sandler came across Kessler’s post on Reddit and they ended up getting together for the film’s premiere in Los Angeles.
It might all be a hoax – the first rule of the internet is that ‘if something seems too good to be true, then it probably is’ – but let’s give them the benefit of the doubt for now.
Here’s how it all started…
In an Imgur post, the real life Kessler wrote: “The name of Adam Sandler’s character in his new movie, “The Do-Over” is Max Kessler. My name is Max Kessler. Oh yeah, and I look just like him.”
Sandler saw the post and responded with this…
Well, Max could.
All that flirting had to come to something…
And we got our happy ending…
Max captioned it as: “Adam Sandler flew me out to the premiere of The Do-Over after he saw my post here. Thank you Adam for the incredible experience and thank you Reddit for making it happen!”
