Helena Bonham Carter set for villain role in James Bond

James Bond producers are said to be close to making Helena Bonham-Carter a Bond villain for the upcoming film - the 25th in the franchise's history. A report in the Mirror indicates that the 52-year-old actress is currently frontrunner for the part and who wouldn't want to play a Bond baddie at some point in their career? An insider told the paper: “Everyone thinks Angelina Jolie is going to get the part but bosses want Helena more, at the moment they are still finalising the cast". Bonham Carter was equal parts magnetic and terrifying during her four appearances as Bellatrix Lestrange in the final four Harry Potter films, but is probably most fondly remembered for roles in David Fincher's Fight Club and extensive list of work with former husband Tim Burton. Should she join the cast she'll be teaming up with Daniel Craig, in his fifth and almost certainly last appearance as Bond, and director Danny Boyle. Ben Wishaw is also set to reprise his role as Q. Craig is rumoured to be taking on an important creative role for the film which will see him earn around £60million thanks to his wages, executive producer credit, endorsement deals and cut of profits. According to the same report the pair are currently working on a shooting schedule, and the film has a tentative release date of October 25 2019.
