Gemma Collins left in tears after visiting the place where Jesus was born

‘The feeling in here… the hairs stand on their end’

Gemma Collins’ ‘spiritual journey’ has only just got underway in 2023, but it is already proving overwhelming.

The Only Way Is Essex star has shared an emotional video of her visiting the supposed birthplace of Jesus Bethlehem, having earlier revealed her New Year’s resolution is to take more “spiritual journeys in 2023”.

The reality TV star wiped tears from her face as she told her followers what it was like to visit the holy monument.

In an Instagram post she wrote: “I can’t believe I’ve been so unbelievably lucky to have been where baby Jesus was born and touched the spot. I am totally blown away and looking forward to my spiritual journeys in 2023.”

She went on to say: “The feeling of this was like nothing I’ve ever felt before. I can’t even describe what I gelt in that moment. I was totally blown away.

Never one to do things by halves, Gemma then posted a video a video, where she said: “I am in the church in Bethlehem. I’ve got tears rolling down my face. This is the most breathtaking, unreal experience in my life.

“The feeling here you cannot describe and it is just overwhelming. I hope everyone gets to experience this once in their life.

“The feeling in here… the hairs stand on their end.”

She added: “I’m breathless. It is just so beautiful.”

Gemma shared images of her touching the 12-pointed star where the holy baby is believed to have laid his head.

The GC’s followers lapped up the posts.

One joked: “The GC meets the JC.”

Another wrote: “I would love to go, I’ve seen quite a lot of negative teasing posts about your visit. That says more about the people posting them to my mind. What an experience.”

One fan who had visited Bethlehem, wrote: “So I was lucky enough to visit Bethlehem and touch the birthplace of Jesus, also the top of the cross also.it was the most spiritual feeling I’ve ever had and I’ve never forgotten that trip of a lifetime.”

And another added: “I felt the same when I went there. After visiting, we prayed for children and it happened. It’s amazing.”

Others called for her to acknowledge the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with many commenting “free Palestine” and “end the Apartheid”.
