Fans of thrillers? A new must-watch mini-series kicks off on TV tonight

The latest must-see show.

Rory Cashin

Imagine a world where the Nazis actually won World War II…

That’s the set-up for the new BBC thriller SS-GB (no prizes for guessing what that stands for), and its a doozy.

Along the lines of The Man In The High Castle, but instead of going full sci-fi, this five part mini-series will be mixing spy thriller, murder mystery and alternative history all into one must-watch.

Written by the guys behind the hit Bond movies Casino Royale and Skyfall, it tells the story of Detective Douglas Archer (Sam Riley), an English man forced to work as part of the expanding SS in order to protect his family. However, when he gets caught up in the murder plot of a black marketeer, things take a dark and twisty turn for the worst.

Also starring Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns) and recent Celebrity Big Brother contestant James Cosmo, expect this to be the one everyone is talking about at the water cooler tomorrow.

The first episode airs tonight on BBC One at 9pm, so either tune in or set up that recording ASAP.
