It wouldn't be the same without her.

Coronation Street viewers have begun to worry that Rita Tanner could be leaving the show after her recent storylines suggest she is losing her memory. The character has grown forgetful over the last few weeks on the show and viewers are now wondering whether this might be the beginning of the end for the character. Well, fans’ fears could be true as reports suggest the long-running character is set to be killed off. After 53 years on the soap, actress Barbara Knox could be putting her character to bed later this year. Reports suggest that the soap bosses are already planning Rita’s exit and it is rumoured she will die of a brain tumour. It is expected the storyline will kick into gear in October.
