After teasing it for weeks via his Instagram, Drake has finally unveiled the video for his latest track, “God’s Plan”.
Taken from his Scary Hours EP, the song landed as the lead single with “Diplomatic Immunity” the B-side.
In the video Drake is seen giving away almost a million dollars ($996,631.90) to various schools, fire departments and day cares. He also surprises select individuals who have fallen on hard times, or are unable to afford to send their kids to college, with handfuls of cash.
Beginning the video by urging fans not to tell his label that he gave all the money away that was supposed to be used as part of the video’s budget, this one is definitely a bit of a tear-jerker at times.
Drake recently commented that this video is the “most important thing” he’s ever done in his career.
There’s even an ode to his mother, as well as other mothers, at the end.
