Donald Trump throws shade at JAY-Z in latest Twitter rant

Donald Trump don't want it with Hov.

It appears not everyone is a fan of JAY-Z. Donald Trump this morning took aim at the Brooklyn rapper via Twitter following his comments about the President's controversial "shithole countries" remark. In an interview with Van Jones on Saturday that aired on CNN (see below), JAY-Z responded to a comment Trump made earlier this month when he questioned why the United States continues to accept people from “shithole countries,” referring to Africa nations, Haiti and El Salvador. JAY-Z started off by saying that "it is disappointing and it’s hurtful." Continuing he then added:

"Everyone feels anger, but after the anger it’s really hurtful because it’s looking down at a whole population of people and it’s so misinformed because these places have beautiful people and beautiful everything. This is the leader of the free world speaking like this."

Asked if the surging economy under the Trump administration shows he’s a good leader, Jay Z said that’s beside the point.

“Because it’s not about money at the end of the day. Money is not – money doesn’t equate to happiness. It doesn’t. That’s missing the whole point. You treat people like human beings, then – that’s the main point.”

So how did Trump respond to Mr. Carter's critique? The percentage has been in a rapid decline since August 2011 where it started at 16.4% and fell to 7.8% by January 2017. It's funny how Donald Trump wasn't prepared to comment in any capacity on Eminem, a white artist, and his fiery critique of him yet he's quick to throw shade at JAY-Z, a black artist. Is this just simply coincidence or yet another example of Trump's obvious racist tendencies?
