‘She’s literally telling us she’s has been initiated’
Doja Cat fans are worried about her after she posted a picture of a dramatic new tattoo on her back.
On Friday, the Planet Her singer shared a picture of her new tattoo, the skeleton of a bat, inked by celebrated New York artist, Mr. K.
While many people in the comments loved the artwork, calling it “stunning”, others believed it suggested something more sinister.
Doja explained the meaning of her new inking on her post – which fuelled the conspiracy fires.
The post reads: “To the Indian tribes of the northwestern United States, bats are symbols of diligence; while in the Great Plains, they imparted wisdom on their people. In the southwest and Mexico, they are representative of death and rebirth, because they go undergound in the early morning, and appear again each night in a noisy hoard. So they are reborn every night, flooding out from their caves.”
A highlighted section, continues: “Bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old, and bringing in the new. They are symbols of transition, of initiation, and the start of a new beginning.”
One person wrote: “Lmao she’s literally telling us she’s has been initiated.”
Another echoed the sentiment, writing: “Bruh just say that u in the Illuminati or some we all now.”
A third person took issue with the explanation: “The fact she had to put the meaning behind it so y’all wouldn’t scream ‘she sold her soul’.”
Another person added: “We get it, you sold your soul.”
This isn’t the first time the singer has faced accusations of promoting satanism with her tattoos.
On April 15, she shared a picture of another mythical creature on her Instagram.
The comments section was again awash with comments questioning whether she had “sold her soul”.
Both Beyonce and Rihanna have faced claims about the Illuminati.
Fans of Queen Bee believe she made reference to it during a concert in Dubai at the start of the year, and that RiRi displayed a Illuminati sign during her Super Bowl Halftime show in February.
