Big Brother contestant Hallie has come out as transgender to her housemates.
In scenes that will air on Monday night, the 18-year-old opens up to her co-stars in the Big Brother house, saying that she "wasn't being authentic" by not telling them.
The reality TV series returned to screens on Sunday night as the first episode aired on ITV, and introduced viewers to all the new housemates who will compete for the £100,000 cash prize.
On Monday night's episode, viewers will see Hallie - who is the youngest contestant on the show - speak to her housemates around the dinner table, the MailOnline reports.
She tells the group: "Hey guys, I just have something to say. Yesterday I feel like I wasn’t being 100 per cent authentic in myself.
"I thought I’d let everyone know I’m trans, if you didn’t know already.
"I just thought I’d make that loud and clear. I’m a trans woman if you didn’t know.”
The rest of the house are quick to show their love and support for the youth worker, with Chanelle praising the teenager for her bravery.
After Hallie reveals that she was "nervous" about coming out to the group, her housemate Farida reassures her: “You don’t need to be nervous.”
Speaking on the Big Brother launch about why she applied to be on the show, Hallie said: "It's about getting my face out there and just having fun, enjoying life.
"I'm only 18 so I didn't grow up watching it but as I got older, I would watch clips on YouTube and stuff, so I've been a fan. And yeah, just for fun, really?"
She described herself as a "bit of a diva" but also a "very lovely person".
Hallie is not the first trans person to appear on Big Brother. Back in 2004, Nadia Almada won the series, and in 2012 trans man Luke Anderson was crowned the winner of the show.
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
