If you don’t watch the final episode, then it technically never ends?

If you need more Brooklyn Nine-Nine in your life then you’ll be happy to know that a one-off special is just around the corner.

Announcing the news through the official Channel 4 website, the show’s creators revealed that the special will appear before the final-ever episode on June 8. The hour-long special will take a look at the “best bits” of the show while also hearing from the star-studded cast we’ve all grown to love.

“Across the hour, we’ll hear from the show’s key cast including, Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz and Joe Lo Truglio,” Channel 4 said.

Co-creator and executive producer Dan Goor will also feature alongside Dan Marocco, the show’s composer, and Craig Robinson, who plays the recurring iconic character Doug Judy.

They will also be joined by “UK superfans”, including comedians Nish Kumar and Catherine Bohart.

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a much-loved part of E4’s schedule and we’re delighted to have commissioned this special from Wise Owl Films to say a fitting goodbye, as we dissect why this show is so hugely (and rightly) celebrated. It’s one that all B99 fans won’t want to miss,” said commissioning editor Jonathan Rothery.

Mark Robinson, the executive producer on behalf of Wise Owl Films, said: “Brooklyn Nine-Nine isn’t just one of the funniest American comedies of recent years – in years to come we’ll look back on it as one of the most ground-breaking in terms of its storylines and characters. It’s been fascinating to hear from the stars and creator of the series just how they set about making comedy history.”
