2019 has been a big year for movies so far, but they've all been missing one crucial thing: Gail Platt (née Rodwell, McIntyre, Potter, Tilsley and Hillman). You see, I've got a lingering hunch that every single movie in existence could be drastically improved with the addition of Weatherfield's #1 E.T. lookalike in the starring role. We've seen how well Les Battersby fits in as the lead character in any film, so the next logical step is to give Gail Platt a go. Her entirely fictional life may be in turmoil 90% of the time, but that doesn't mean her career trajectory has to be. Allow yourself to lose several braincells as you peruse the fruits of a hypothetical world in which Gail Platt is Hollywood's biggest movie star.
