Lana Rhoades said she didn’t even like sex
Former adult film actress Lana Rhoades has told how porn is “100 per cent” fake and that how those performing for the cameras are treated like “circus acts”
The 26-year-old, who was one of the biggest names in the industry before quitting, is now an outspoken advocate against it and believes the content should be banned.
In a recent interview on The Skinny Confidential podcast, Rhoades – real name Amara Maple – host host Lauryn Evarts Bosstick says, “Let’s blow the cover off porn – how real is it?”.
Rhoades, who now sells clothing and is a co-host on the 3 Girls 1 Kitchen podcast, replies: “100 percent fake.”

She continues: “It’s like circus acts as a performer, when I was doing it, it was like what face can I make? What sound could I make? What can I do in this movie to make it the best one?”
Rhoades then went on to explain how she doesn’t “even like sex”, so she really has to act.
“I don’t even like having sex, honestly I’m pretty much asexual,” she says, later stating: “I never hook up with people, I don’t find people attractive and I’ve always been like that. It’s not like there was a change after doing porn.”

Bosstick later makes light of the fact that Rhoades became famous in the industry in just eight months, but the new mum explained that was enough time for her to realise the industry is toxic.
“I don’t think it’s [porn] good for anyone, they should make it illegal.”
Rhoades was 19 when she started her career in the adult entertainment business and had only ever had sex with one person.
Her goal, she explained, was to make a better life for herself – she hadn’t considered the consequences: “I wasn’t mature enough to realise what actually went into it and very, very quickly I realised this isn’t for me,” she said.
A clip of the episode’s snippets was shared on TikTok where dozens of people shared their support and concern for Rhoades.
One person wrote: “I feel so sad she sounds traumatised.
Another added: “Lana seems like such a bright and kind soul, I hope she’s doing well.”
