The man is yet to be identified by the RSPCA or any other authorities

A picture has surfaced online of a man grabbing and carrying a dog by its collar through Parsloes Park in Dagenham, East London. The incident took place on the 29th of March.

Animal welfare and rights charity, the RSPCA, were alerted to the situation after a number of witnesses spotted the offender walking through the area and towards a car park. They forwarded on the photographic evidence and stated that they saw him enter a black BMW, still leaving the dog hanging by the collar.

As can be seen in the photo and confirmed by RSPCA Inspector, Chris McGreal: “The man – dressed in a black hat, black jacket and dark-coloured jogging bottoms – was seen carrying the small white Spitz-type dog by its collar across the park”.

He went on to implore that “We’d like to speak to the man pictured or anyone who recognises him or the dog. We’d also like to speak to any witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information should call our appeal line on 0300 123 8018 and leave a message for me.”

If you have any information regarding the incident or any other concerns surrounding the treatment and safety of an animal, make sure to get in touch with RSPCA immediately. We must look after our good boys and girls at all costs.
