The Chicken Connoisseur is getting his own TV show

Paul Moore

Some coop.

In the era of viral heroes, some people are more deserving of their fame than others.

Elijah Quashie, aka internet sensation Chicken Connoisseur, is one such person and we’re delighted to say that he’ll be fronting a brand new show for Channel 4 that airs later this year.

It’s time to pluck your feathers because he’s going to star In The Peng Life. The show will see Elijah and some special guests finding out if it is pennies or pounds that will get you the best things in life.

Fair play to him, he’s really winging it.

Elijah will be hunting down the most-wanted things his city has to offer and he’ll sample them at two different price points – street and elite level. From food to fashion, he’ll be sorting the superior sub-par from sub-par and giving his adjudication on which tested items are deserving of being titled The Pengest. He’ll also meet up with some celebs to review some stuff and to find out what the pengest luxuries are in their life.

Any chance of some chicken?

Elijah said: “On YouTube I do the chicken ting, but now on Channel 4 I’m reviewing everything! The cheapest stuff to the most expensive stuff. Basically the deadest stuff you’ll ever find to the most expensive, baller status stuff. I’ll see if it’s worth the moolah. Hold tight”.

Given how much affection the public has for the Chicken Connoisseur, we’re certain that this news show won’t have fowl ratings. We’re egging him on to great success because isn’t it time that someone ruffled some feathers in the TV world.

We’ll stop now.
