WATCH: NFL commentator produces hilarious Ron Burgundy moment live on air

This gets funnier and funnier every time we watch it...

This gets funnier with every watch…

If you’ve seen the film Anchorman, you’ll know that Ron Burgundy has an unfortunate habit of reading whatever appears on his teleprompter – be it the odd rogue question mark or a “go fuck yourself, San Diego” sign-off.

Until Sunday night, we weren’t aware that this kind of thing actually happened in real life. How wrong we were. Step forward NFL commentator, Dick Stockton…

The 74-year-old was on duty for the game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Rams for Fox, when he began to provide viewers with information on the up-coming Visa Halftime Report. Sadly for Dick, this happened…

“Look on graphic for the final two bullet points,” he read out, much to the amusement of many of those watching.

Poor bloke. We suppose that when your job is to speak almost non-stop on live television for three hours straight, it’s inevitable you’re going to make the odd mistake every now and then. A brilliant bit of television regardless.
