But that's not stopped them trying, and what better place for an England striker to show off his ability to stay absolutely still than in an opposition penalty area.

Vardy showed great movement and athleticism to beat Spain's defenders to the ball before heading past Pepe Reina.
And he followed it up as only someone doing something of note during the brief period of the mannequin challenge being culturally relevant could.

It was an impressive piece of work from the Leicester City frontman (the goal, not the celebration, well actually both).
But we won't be truly impressed until an England international follows up a 90th-minute bicycle-kick winner by doing the ice bucket challenge on the penalty spot.
Sorry guys, Vardy just raised the bar for the rest of you.
