Jimmy Harrington called out the ‘sheer arrogance and stupidity’ of Paul’s team

Tommy Fury‘s manager has claimed a member of Jake Paul‘s team threatened to “shoot me” in the aftermath of Sunday’s fight that saw his fighter claim a split decision victory.

Despite being knocked down in the eighth round, Tommy, 23, was victorious against the YouTuber-turned boxer at Diriyah Arena, in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, winning on points. One judge scored the bout 75-74 to Jake, with the other two scoring it 76-73 to Tommy, who is now nine for nine fights.

Speaking to Boxing King Media, Tommy’s manager, Jimmy Harrington, ripped into Jake’s team for their “sheer arrogance and stupidity”.

He said he was given “grief” by 15-men, and called out former world title contender J’Leon Love, who he said “got personal you little sh*t bag”.

“I’m going to see you one day, and when I do, I promise you, left hand to God, you are getting it you f****** b******.”

Harrington also claimed one of Paul’s entourage threatened to shoot him.

“They were giving me so much shit, and I tell you what…. then I’ve got one of them, that’s going to shoot me. Well, get your gun out and shoot me you divvy bastard.

“I’ll tell you straight, that’s what he said to me.”

Speaking after his win, Tommy said on BT Sport: “For the past two years this is all that has consumed my life.

“Everybody thought I was running scared but tonight I made my own legacy.”

Tommy added: “This is my first main event, I am going to get bigger and better and if he wants a rematch, bring it on.”

Jake, 26, was gracious in defeat, but did call for a rematch, saying: “All respect to Tommy, he won. I think we deserve that rematch. I don’t know if I agree with the judges. I got a 10-8 round twice… I felt flat, I got sick really bad twice in this camp, injured my arm. But I lost, I’m not making excuses.”

Jake, who now has a loss to his unbeaten record, added: “Don’t judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses. “I don’t know if I agree with the judges, it is what it is but that is the boxing world.”

Jake has not commented on the claims, but in a recent tweet spoke about his “path forward”.
