Nacho Libre star Cesar Barron dies during wrestling show in London

He died aged 51

Wrestling star Cesar Barron, who most recently went by the ring name 'Silver King', has died aged 51. Barron collapsed and passed away during a wrestling show at the Camden Roundhouse in north London on Saturday night. He was performing at a Greatest Show of Lucha Libre event when he became unresponsive. Fellow Mexican wrestler, El Hijo de Santo, tweeted his condolences to Barron, saying that he "left as he wanted: fighting!". "I deeply lament the death of my great rival and colleague in so many battles. He left as he wanted:fighting! It was then that it became known that he was the son of Dr. Wagner, a well known Mexican wrestler from the 1960s. Barron then went on to enjoy a successful career, winning many titles both as a solo performer and as part of a tag team. Most British wrestling fans will remember him for his performance as Jack Black's rival, 'Ramses' in Nacho Libre. Ramses donned a gold mask in the move and Barron wore the mask in one professional bout after the film's release.
