It's all going on

Ed Woodward is getting down to business.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen for the club’s executive vice chairman to sew up some deals before the beginning of the World Cup.

Mourinho’s transfer wish list has been well documented, with the United boss keen to bring in some midfield reinforcements, as well as a full-back or two this summer.

A lot of clubs are getting to work in the boardroom this week and Red Devils supporters can apparently look forward to a couple of official announcements in the very near future.

Well-connected Manchester photographer Craig Norwood, who is usually on the money when it comes to the club’s transfer dealings, has revealed in a pair of tweets on Monday that both Fred and Diogo Dalot will put pen to paper on moves to Old Trafford in the next couple of days.

Norwood has reported that Fred, the Brazilian midfielder from Shakhtar Donetsk, will be first in the door after completing his medical at Carrington on Monday.

Porto full-back Dalot will quickly follow suit, with the 19-year-old expected to cost United at least £17.5 million when he signs.

Despite the recent big spending, United do not intend to pinch any pennies this summer and several more acquisitions are expected as Mourinho aims to bounce back from the trophyless season that’s just finished.
