The Italian side were deducted points after the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) won an appeal after accusing the club of gross financial irregularities, which included artificially raising transfer fees.

However a reverse of the decision means that Massimiliano Allegri's side will jump up to third in the Serie A table, pushing both Inter and AC Milan out of the Champions League, hours before their Europa League second leg tie against Sporting.

José Mourinho's Roma have also been affected, moving one place down to fourth in the process.

It's likely that the saga will continue to carry on until the end of the season, with a new trial expected to take place, meaning that Juventus could face a final punishment in the 2023-2024 season.

Additionally, the bans on the likes of Andrea Agnelli, Maurizio Arrivabene, Federico Cherubini and current Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici have all been revoked.

No evidence was presented by the FIGC at the appeal, which lasted for almost three hours on Wednesday April 18 and included confusion as to why they had given the Bianconeri a 15-point deduction when they had only requested for nine.

This will be the third time that the Federal Court of Justice has had to come to a decision on the subject involving Juventus.
