A transcript of the full interview has now been leaked.

You’re probably already aware that last night Arsenal accidentally uploaded a video that appeared to confirmed the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. If not, catch-up here.

Arsenal uploaded the video to their website in the early hours of the morning, in it Wenger confirmed that a deal for Aubameyang was done.

The video has since been deleted. However, the internet being the internet, somebody was online to see it and able to record exactly what Arsene Wenger had to say about his new player.

Here is the transcript:

Reporter: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is an Arsenal player, you must be delighted to get the deal done?”

Wenger: “Yes, it is good news. We need people who can give us more offensive power.

“At the moment, we aren’t enough going forward and I am convinced he will give us that.

“He has a big challenge in front of him. He wants to do well in the Premier League.

“It is absolutely good news for us.

“His pace, his finishing. The quality of his runs. His huge physical capacity, that will be important in the Premier League.”

It is believed that the players has been signed by the Gunners for a club-record fee worth around £55 million.

And Wenger seems to feel it’s good business for the North London club.
