Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarter-back, is currently without an NFL team after he became the first player to take a knee during the national anthem before a match.

His decision to peacefully protest against racial injustice in America has led to no team in the NFL signing him, despite his quality.

Since he took a knee, many players have followed suit to show their support for the growing movement.

The announcement that Kaepernick would be the face of Nike’s Just Do It campaign rustled a few feathers. Many American right-wingers were so outraged that they decided to burn Nike clothing that they had already paid for.

Since the announcement, fellow athletes have come out in support of Kaepernick, angering many racists in the process. Tottenham Hotspur player Eric Dier posted a photo of the ad to his personal Instagram account, for example.

And the latest high profile sporting figure to come out in support of Kaepernick is Eric Cantona. The former Manchester United captain has never shied away from getting involved in social causes, and his latest post shows his full support for Kaepernick on his quest for social justice.

Cantona posted a photograph of him wearing a Nike hoodie, with the caption ‘I am wearing #Nike more than ever. #ColinKaepernick’.
