The discovery could point to evidence of life among the stars
NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has detected signs of water on a planet more than a thousand light-years away from our own planet.
The space agency announced that its telescope "captured the signature of water" on the planetary system dubbed WASP 96-b, which orbits a star some 1,250 light-years away.

"For the first time, we've detected evidence of clouds in this exoplanet's atmosphere," They tweeted.
Signs of water are one of the first steps in identifying possible alien life.
