Modern football, it's not all it's cracked up to be.
Aston Villa have suffered from this new era of modern football, slowly slipping down the league table each season as funds dried up, and they struggled to keep up with the floods of cash being pumped into other clubs.
But at least they can keep up when it comes to tweeting gifs from their social media accounts, which is one of the most important aspects of modern football.
In an attempt to appease their fans, who have rightfully been incredibly pissed off in recent times, Villa have taken to thanking the fans on Twitter after matches.
What you can't see in the tweet below though, is the gun being held to Aly Cissokho's head just out of shot, and you can't hear the sound of the person holding that gun shouting "SMILE, ALY. SMILE AND CLAP".

Which then fades when he thinks about the fact that Villa's 3-0 win today was against Rotherham, in the Championship.
Before looking into the distance and having an existential crisis.
