This little boy snitched on his dad for driving through a red light

Oh kids...

Robbie Richardson is going to make one heck of a policeman when he grows up.

The six-year-old from Quincy, Massachusetts, made headlines this week after spotting a man running a red light and informing the police on the bad driver.

A rather impressive feat, but what made Robbie’s call particularly special was the driver in question was his own father. Talk about putting the law first…

In a phonecall to Quincy police on May 28, Robbie alerted dispatchers to his dad’s red light gaffe.

“Daddy went past a red light,” the young boy said. “He has a black truck. It was in a brand-new car, my mommy’s car.”

Robbie then informed the dispatcher that his father had taken the car into a car wash before the person on the other end of the phone asked to talk to Robbie’s father – Michael Richardson.

“I’m just wanting to apologise — that’s my 5-year-old son,” said Michael

“He just wanted to let us know you ran a red light,” said the dispatcher.

Talking to WHDH News, Michael explained that he had taught his son to call 911 in emergencies, only it appeared the future policeman interpreted his Dad running a red light was one.

“When he says he’s going to do something, he does it,” Michael said of his son, laughing about the situation.

This kid is definitely going to go places.
