Supernatural star Mark Sheppard has confirmed that he was on death’s door on Friday after suffering six heart attacks.

First responders brought the English actor back to life after he suffered the number of massive heart attacks.

Sheppard posted to Instagram, saying that he was in the kitchen of his home when he collapsed and was brought back to life on four separate occasions.

According to Sheppard, he had a 100% blockage in his left anterior descending artery, which is known as a widowmaker.

Mark credits the team at St Joseph’s Hospital and his wife with his survival saying: “I wouldn’t be writing this. My chances of survival were virtually nil.”

Speaking about his condition, Sheppard seemed hopeful and positive, saying: “I feel great. Humbled once more. Home tomorrow.”

Co-stars sent their best wishes to Sheppard also, with Misha Collins, saying: “Mark! You don’t need to do the most and biggest every time! 6 heart attacks? 2 or 3 would have been impressive enough. You’ve impressed us, okay. Now stop with this heal up and get back on the road with us. Love you, pal.”

Sheppard, who was born in London, first started acting in The X Files before going onto star in Star Trek: Voyager, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Monk.

He also featured in the Jim Sheridan film, In The Name Of The Father alongside Daniel Day Lewis and Emma Thompson.
