The news was confirmed by a representative for the family, who told TMZ that Presley died on Sunday, September 20. The representative also confirmed that Cindy, Rande and Presley’s sister, model Kaia Gerber, are mourning his death, while asking for privacy during the difficult time.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has confirmed that Presley was staying at a rehabilitation facility when he died. The cause has not yet been determined, and an autopsy is still to be completed.

No further details about the circumstances surrounding his death have been released at this stage.

Born in Beverly Hills, California, in 1999, Presley Gerber was the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber.

He followed his mother into modelling and also built a career of his own, while his younger sister Kaia Gerber went on to become a model and actor.

Presley had spoken openly about some of the difficulties he faced, including his struggles with mental health, depression and substance abuse.

During an appearance on the Studio 22 podcast, he reflected on his experiences and said that being able to help even one person who was going through something similar would be enough for him.

He had also faced legal problems in his early twenties. Presley was charged with driving under the influence in 2019 and was later sentenced to three years of probation.

He was also ordered to complete a DUI programme and carry out two days of community service.

His struggles had also affected those closest to him. Only weeks before Presley’s death, Kaia spoke about the impact his addiction had on their family while promoting her role in FX’s The Shards.

She told Vogue that the situation had made her see herself as “the easy one” and reluctant to ask for help because she felt there was already so much for her family to deal with.
