Pornography, erotic animation and stories of wife-swapping are banned from a Chinese social media app

We've all heard the phrase 'no sex please, we're British.'

But it looks like China is getting in on the act. Pornography is being banned from popular social media app WeChat which has 500m users in the communist country. China's internet regular issued guidelines prohibiting sexual and vulgar content - which includes nude photos, erotic animation and stories of "one-night stands, wife-swapping and sexual abuse." Any accounts found sending rude content will be suspended then banned after a fourth violation. JOE imagines if this happened in Britain social media would be a very lonely place indeed.
